Visit to Genseq Genotyping Company

On Wednesday, 15th October 2025, our Family Genomics Research Group had the privilege of visiting Genseq, a prominent genotyping company located in Cherrywood Business Park, Dublin. During our time there, Niamh Foley, the Commercial Director of Genseq, and Carl O’ Regan, Laboratory Manager, graciously provided us with an overview of the innovative technologies offered by the company, which include whole genome and exome sequencing, methylation profiling, genotyping, single-cell gene expression, as well as comprehensive bioinformatics and data analysis services.  

We were particularly impressed by the state-of-the-art array scanners and the automated workflow processes employed at Genseq. Furthermore, our Principal Investigator, Prof. Lorna Lopez, took the opportunity to engage in a fruitful discussion about our current research interests and ongoing projects.
