In the last week of January, Aung Myat Phyo, a PhD student in our group, had the opportunity to attend the Festival of Genomics and Biodata in London 2025, marking his first international event experience. This prestigious festival attracted over 7,000 registrants. The presentations, including topics such as “A Multiomics Approach to Understanding the Regulation of Sleep and Circadian Rhythms,” “Critical Evaluation of the Performance and Utility of Polygenic Risk Scores in Screening and Prediction of Common Diseases,” and “Imaging Genetics of Brain Structure Changes in Adolescence Underpinned by Transcriptional Programs of Neurodevelopment,” provided valuable insights that are highly relevant to his current research project. Moreover, the diversity of other topics was equally compelling. Should the opportunity arise, he would be eager to participate in this festival again in the future. He extend his gratitude to his supervisor for facilitating this experience.
